9th Grade T-shirts, Deadline 2/6/20
The new Class of 2023 t-shirt is available for purchase! It can be worn every year of high school as it includes the graduating year and is a white shirt that can be worn during white out spirit days. Be sure to place your order by 2/6/20. Note: If you placed an order last semester, that order was refunded for this redesigned shirt. You will need to make a new purchase. If you have any questions, speak to Mrs. August.
9th-11th Grade, Course Registration
On Thursday, 1/30/20 each grade level had an opportunity to hear about what’s new for 2020-2021 and how they can review course selection online. The deadline to register is February 7th. We encourage students to meet with their counselor if there are any questions about courses or the registration process.

11th Grade, College Prep Workshop

11th Grade, Register for SAT with Essay
Students should review their “Colleges I’m Thinking About List” in Naviance and research if any of the schools on their list requires the essay. Students can do so by going directly to the college’s website or go to the College Board’s SAT Essay Policies of Colleges website. Counselors will hold a registration session for interested students during Advisement on February 4, 2020. Click here if you would like to register for the SAT with Essay. The deadline to register for the SAT with Essay is February 18, 2020. No formal day attire on 2/5/20 due to winning spirit day competition.

Friendly reminder the first Wednesday of each month is Formal Day. See below for sample pictures of formal wear. The goal of Formal Day is to have our students practice professional dress. We understand this can vary by occupation and do our best to provide a basic outline to follow.
Douglas County School District is diligently working to equip our Mental Health Staff and parent community with tools to help adolescents struggling with depression and anxiety. Dr. Scott Cypers is a leading expert in adolescent mental health and has been providing anxiety workshops that focus on specific interventions and resources parents can use with their struggling children.
